Hauser is a platform that transforms home inspection reports into actionable insights. We help homeowners, realtors, and property managers make informed decisions about maintenance, repairs, and improvements to protect and enhance property value.

How does Hauser work?
Hauser uses advanced technology to analyze home inspection reports, categorize issues by urgency, provide cost estimates, recommend timelines, and generate RFQs (Request for Quotations) for contractors. The platform creates a personalized dashboard for each property, making it easy to manage home maintenance needs and grow the value of your largest investment.

What types of reports does Hauser accept?
Hauser currently supports multiple inspection report types, including: General Home Inspections, Pest/Termite Inspections, Roof Inspections, Pool Inspections, Septic Inspections.

Can I add multiple properties to my Hauser account?
Yes, you can manage multiple properties within your Hauser account. To create a new property, simply upload a new report. Our system will recognize the new address and automatically create a property profile. You can see all your proerties and switch between properties using the dropdown menu in the Property Dashboard.

How do I share my property information with others?
You can share property information by:

1. Navigating to the Property Dashboard
2. Clicking on "Manage Users"
3. Enter the email address of the person you want to share access with
4. Select their permission level
5. Hit "send" The person you added will then receiev an invitation.

Can I upload more than one report per property?
Yes, you can upload termite, pool, septic, and roof inspection reports in addition to a general home inspection report.

How accurate are the cost and timing estimates?
Our cost estimates are based on the details available in the inspection report as well as publicly available contractor pricing, material costs, and labor rates. While we strive for accuracy, these are general estimates and actual quotes from contractors may vary based on specific conditions and requirements.

Who can benefit from using Hauser?

Uploading and Managing Reports

How do I upload an inspection report?
Once you've created an account, you'll either be taken to an upload page if you have never uploaded a report or you can upload an additional report using the "Upload" button in the top right corner of the dashboard.

What file formats are accepted?
The preferred file format is PDF, however, Hauser accepts Docx, JPG, PNG files as well.

Can I upload multiple reports for the same property?
Yes, you can upload multiple reports for the same property. This allows you to maintain a comprehensive record of different inspection types (roof, pest, general home, etc.) or track inspections conducted at different times.

How long does it take to process a report?
Most reports are processed within minutes. Processing time may vary depending on the size and complexity of the report.

My report is old, can i still upload it?
Yes, you can upload older reports but remember that if your inspection report is more than a year or two old, you should expect ongoing degradation of issues and systems that haven’t been resolved or maintained. Best practices also suggest that homeowners get a professional inspection every 2-3 years.

Inspection Summary

How does Hauser categorize issues from my reports?
Hauser categorizes the issues in a report by Category (plumbing, roofing, HVAC, structural, etc.) and by urgency (critical, urgent, moderate, low).

How do I get more information about a specific issue?
By selecting the "Learn More" button within any item in the Issue Summary module on the dashboard, you can get a deeper understanding of the issue, details from the report, and preventative maintenance guidance.

How does Hauser determine the recommended scheduling for repairs?
Scheduling recommendations are based on several factors:
- The urgency level of the issue
- Seasonal considerations
- Potential for escalation if left unaddressed
- Equipment age and condition

Request for Quote (RFQ)

What is an RFQ and how do I create one?
An RFQ (Request for Quotation) is a formal document sent to contractors to request pricing for specific work. You can generate an issue specific RFQ by clicking "Prepare RFQ" from the Issue Summary module. You can then send the RFQ by email, downloadable PDF, or live link.

How do I share an RFQ with contractors?
You can share an RFQ by:
1. Generating a PDF of the RFQ
2. Emailing it directly to contractors from the platform
3. Using the public share link to give contractors access without requiring a login

Directory

What is the Directory feature?
The Directory allows you to manage contact information for different contractors and service providers associated with your property. This makes it easy to find and reach out to trusted professionals when needed.

How do I add contacts to my Directory?
To add a contact:
1. Navigate to the Directory section
2. Click "Add Contact"
3. Enter the contact information including name, company, category/type, phone, email, etc.
4. Save the contact

Can I categorize my Directory contacts?
Yes, contacts can be categorized by type (e.g., plumbing, electrical, landscaping) using predefined categories.

Account and Security

How is my data protected?
Hauser takes data security seriously. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your information, implement secure authentication practices, and store data on trusted cloud providers with robust security measures. For more details please review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

How long do you retain my personally identifiable information?
We retain your personally identifiable information as long as you maintain an active account. If you cancel your subscription, you can request your personal data be deleted through our support team at hello@hauserhq.com.

How do I delete my account?
